Now, what are Ear Plugs you might ask. A plug (sometimes called earplug or earspool) in the context of body modification, is a short, cylindrical piece of jewelry commonly worn in larger-gauge body piercings. Modern western plugs are also called flesh tunnels.

The request from our customer was for us to develop a pair of Earplugs incorporating Taino themes to the design.

You may ask; "who/what" is Taino?" Well, to answer that question quickly, the Taíno were an Arawak people who were the indigenous people of the Caribbean and Florida. At the time of European contact in the late 15th century, they were the principal inhabitants of most of Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti), and Puerto Rico.

With much room for creative freedom and careful design, LUGDUN ARTISANS' founder Marcos Miranda, got busy.
